FAQ

Which is the best layout for a vegetable garden?

It all depends on where you live. If you live in the city, you should plant vegetables together for easy harvesting. You should plant your vegetables in groups if you live outside of the city. This will ensure maximum yield.

Which type of lighting is best for indoor plants?

Florescent lights work well for growing plants indoors because they emit less heat than incandescent bulbs. They are also consistent in lighting, and do not flicker or dimm. Both regular and compact fluorescent fluorescent bulbs are available. CFLs can use up to 75% more energy than traditional bulbs.

Can I grow fruit trees inside pots?

Yes! If you have limited space, fruit trees can be grown indoors. You should make sure that your pot has drainage holes to keep excess moisture from rotting the tree. You should also ensure that the pot is deep sufficient to support the root ball. This will keep the tree from becoming stressed.

When to plant herbs?

The ideal time to plant herbs is springtime, when the soil temperature is 55°F. To get the best results, they should be planted in full sun. Basil indoors can be grown in pots with potting mixture. How To

Use organic fertilizers in your garden

Organic fertilizers are made of natural substances like manure, compost and fish emulsion. The term organic refers to the use of non-synthetic materials for their production. Synthetic fertilizers can be used in industrial processes. Because they are quick and efficient, synthetic fertilizers are popular in agriculture. They don't require laborious preparation. Synthetic fertilizers are dangerous for the environment as well as human health. These fertilizers also require high amounts of energy, water and time to make. Synthetic fertilizers also pollute surface and groundwater through runoff. This pollution can be harmful for both wildlife and humans.

There are several types of organic fertilizers:

* Manure is created when livestock eat foods containing nitrogen (a nutrient for plants). It has bacteria and enzymes that help to break down the waste, resulting in simple compounds that are easy for plants to absorb.

* Compost: A mixture of animal manure, grass clippings (decomposing leaves), vegetable scraps (vegetable scraps) and grass clippings (grass clippings). It is rich in carbon, nitrogen, phosphorous, potassium, magnesium and sulfur. It is extremely porous and holds water well.

* Fish Emulsion- A liquid product that is made from fish oil. It has the ability to dissolve oils, fats and is very similar to soap. It contains phosphorous, nitrogen, and trace elements.

* Seaweed Oil - A concentrated mixture of minerals taken from kelp, red and brown algae, as well as green algae. It is a good source of vitamins A, C, iron, and iodine.

* Guano - Excreta from amphibians and seabirds. It contains carbon, nitrogen, phosphorous as well as potassium, sodium and magnesium.

* Blood Meal: The remains of animal carcasses. It is rich with protein, making it useful for feeding poultry or other animals. It also contains trace minerals like phosphorus, potassium and nitrogen.

Make organic fertilizer by combining equal parts manure, fish emulsion, and compost. Mix well. If you don’t have access, you can mix one ingredient with the other. If you have only access to the fish oil emulsion, then you can combine 1 part fish emulsion and 2 parts compost.

Use a shovel to evenly distribute the fertilizer over the soil. You should spread about one quarter cup of the fertilizer per square foot. You will need more fertilizer to see signs and growth every two weeks.
